MM099: Principle #2 – Identification

In Mission Minute by Lakeith Jones Comments

Where do you find your identity? Is it found in your career? Or in success? Is it found in other’s opinion of you? Or how they define you? Or is it found in a relationship?

Isn’t it funny that we need little ID cards to tell ourselves and others exactly who we are? And you can get in serious trouble for not having one of these!

Some of a baby’s first words are often mama or dada… and soon they can quickly identify their own names.

It is so important to know who you are and yet so many people struggle with identity.

Have you ever wondered why Paul could become all things to all people? My guess is that his identity was secure. He knew who he was because he knew who Jesus was.

Check out Galatians 2.20. Trust me you never have to worry about identity theft with Jesus! He gave himself so that we could know who we are.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9.19, Galatians 2.20
